Here in Texas, we are known for our pecans! The pecan tree has been our state tree since 1916. Texas is one of the two largest pecan growing states in the country. (Georgia is the other). Today, the U.S. produces between 80% and 95% of the world’s pecans. Pecans are an excellent source of manganese and a good source of protein and unsaturated fats.
Our mammoth pecan halves are Georgia papershells, as are the large pecan pieces. Our medium halves and medium are the “Texas natives”. Whichever variety you choose, we promise you delicious fresh pecans!
